As the labour charges increase for site personnel and the project completion deadlines become shorter and shorter, contractors are looking for a quick but effective new method to support mechanical and electrical services. DST Group Ltd has pioneered a new prefabrication of bracketry service which has many benefits.  Please see listed below the procedures and services that are offered and utilised within our prefabrication service.

•  DST Group Ltd will take away the project drawings and undertake a full take off of all bracketry for both mechanical & electrical services within the project.

• The results will be forwarded to yourselves in the way of a quotation. The quotation will be marked with position numbers which correspond to position numbers marked on the drawing by DST Group Ltd.

• When the quotation is forwarded, DST Group will also supply a specification sheet showing the bracket (or brackets) complete with dimension and part numbers.

• If required DST Group will also supply specific bracket loadings.

• In addition to completing a bracketry take off, DST Group will also advise on any expansion within the system and offer in the way of a report any remedial works that may be required.

• If required, DST Group can advise on anchor loadings and pipework stress analysis utilising the in-house stress package.

• DST Group will then go to site and confirm all that has been quoted / reported and confirm dimensions and any expansion requirements.

• DST Group will then manufacture the bracketry.  The lead-time will be determined at the previous site visit.

• When the prefabricated bracketry is delivered, all the brackets will be marked with a position number which relates to that previously marked on the drawing.

• All brackets delivered to site will be palletised and shrink wrapped.  Within the pallet will be a copy copy of the drawing showing the position numbers and for which zone these are required for.

• Upon completion of installing the bracketry or carrying out any remedial works to compensate the expansion within the system.  DST Group will again visit site to check installation and offer a report by return.
